The life of Aelius Sejanus, [ca. 1628].

Manuscript on paper, corrected, in an Italic hand, of an English translation of Matthieu's 1618 Aelius Sejanus, histoire romaine, which satirized the French royal favorite the Marchal d'Ancre. While it differs from other contemporary published translations of the text, this version may like them have been intended as a satirical commentary on the career of George Villiers, Duke of Buckingham.
